About Us

Kyte is not just a magazine but it is a move-ment because of the fact that most of the content in the magazine is generated from behind the prison walls.

Some of the most gifted people are incar-cerated. We believe through their voice we can help to deter a member of a younger generation from walking the path of prison.

We are an outlet for the inmate to not only showcase their talents and aspirations but a way to encourage those who may be amongst the lost and forgotten population.

Our Mission

At Kyte, we are dedicated to providing a service that will allow each and every incarcerated individual a voice.  Our goal is to help individuals advance their craft, whatever that may be.  We are open to any and all suggestions that are positive and will help deter young people from making the same mistakes as a lot of us have made.  Kyte magazine will not glorify prison life, nor will we dumb it down.  We want to be as factual as possible within the guidelines of the system.  Be clear: this is not an opportunity to call out an individual who you feel has wronged you or someone you know.  Some of the most brilliant minds with voices to be heard are behind bars.  We cannot ruin this opportunity by being negative; it is simply not an option.  We look forward to your help in creating the magazine’s sections, as well as setting the tone of this highly anticipated publication.  For those who are already doing great things, we are here to help you advance your skills on a national level.  We anticipate the creation of a Lifer section as a memorial to highlight individuals whom we have lost.  These are the types of columns we are looking to create, enriched with meaningful and long lasting content that will be beneficial to society.  We will commit to highlight organizations that cater to helping men and women re-enter society.  The premise of Kyte is to show another side of our men and women who are incarcerated.  Whatever your craft may be, this is your opportunity to take full advantage of our free and open platform. This magazine is long overdue, and I am blessed to have the ability to provide this service for you.  With your input and talents, the magazine will improve with every issue.  We wanted to give you a glimpse of what’s to come.  Please feel free to contact our office: 1-617-364-2729.  We are truly here for our incarcerated family who wish to better themselves and move in a positive direction to correct wrongdoings.
